Seed raised plants in 80mm web pots.
This is one of the North QLD pencil orchids that cause a lot of headaches for botanists. It's a sulphur-yellow coloured form from around the Iron Range on Cape York. It's been described as a species in 2006 - however currently Kew Gardens in London feel that it's not different enough to qualify as a species, and call it Dendrobium teretifolium var. fasciculatum - lumping it together with other North QLD forms like Dock. calamiforme and Dock. baseyana.
Personally, for what it's worth, I think it's quite distinct from calamiforme - and deserves at least its own varietal status.
I find these robust and easy to grow.
