Very excited about this Epicattleya cross. Epc. Rene Marques 'Flame Thrower' is a very well know plant, with clusters of green petaled flowers with a bright yellow skirt and an even brighter pink column. A very striking plant. I've crossed it with Ctt. Trick or Treat, a great breeding plant which tends to add vigour, and flower count.
This cross has been registered previously by well known intergeneric breeder Mark Pendleton of Brookside Orchids in the USA, and is called Ett. Copperline. Pictures I've seen look like we should expect these to predominantly have coppery orange petals, while retaining the yellow skirt, pink column and overall shape of Rene Marques.
Seedlings established in 80mm pots.
